A Lutheran Pastor Offers a Rebuttal

After spending the night before with Evangelical voters at the Ted Cruz rally, I was excited to meet a Clinton supporter who was a retired Lutheran pastor. The resident of Ames, named Matthew Martins, believes strongly that God is meshed into all aspects of our lives. However, he argues that the Church should be a neutral factor in the political arena and embraced multiculturalism over Evangelism. Even among the devoutly Christian crowd of Iowa, there exists a great difference in opinion over the role their faith should play in politics and government.
